Qualcomm has reported its financial results for the first quarter of the company’s 2025 fiscal year, ending on December 29, 2024. The revenue, according to GAAP accounting, stood at $11.669 billion, marking a 17% increase from the same period the previous year. The net profit amounted to $3.180 billion.
The Qualcomm Chip Distribution Business, QCT, continues to experience significant growth. Overall revenue increased by 20% to $10.084 billion. Revenue from mobile phones saw a 13% increase to $7.574 billion, automotive revenue surged by 61% to $961 million, and IoT revenue grew by 36% to $1.549 billion. Additionally, the QTL licensing business saw revenue rise by 5% to $1.535 billion.
CEO Cristiano Amon remarked that the company achieved a new all-time high in total revenue for this quarter, reflecting its strength in technology and its future plans to meet customer demands. The company’s key target is to achieve $22 billion in non-phone revenue by the 2029 fiscal year.
