Elon Musk Postpones Meeting with Indian Prime Minister, Cites Heavy Workload at Tesla

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, announced through his X account that he had previously planned a trip to India to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, potentially to discuss setting up a factory in the country. However, he has recently decided to postpone this trip, citing heavy workload at Tesla. He plans to reschedule the trip to India later this year.

Musk did not disclose the specific reasons at Tesla that led to the postponement of his trip, but in the short term, Tesla is scheduled to report its earnings on Tuesday, April 23rd (morning of April 24th in Thailand). Musk will participate in the earnings call and answer analyst questions. Prior to this, Tesla has reported declining production and deliveries for the first time since 2020, announced a global workforce reduction of 10%, reduced the price of FSD software by half, and recently announced the recall of 3,878 Cybertruck vehicles to address acceleration issues.
