NVIDIA has released a new PC application simply named NVIDIA App, which combines two separate apps that have been around for a while: GeForce Experience for driver updates and NVIDIA Control Panel for GPU settings.
The NVIDIA App takes on everything from updating drivers to adjusting GPU settings, customizing graphics for individual games, displaying the In-Game Overlay menu (Alt+Z) for in-game use, showing the frame rate (Alt+R), applying color filters to game images (Freestyle filter), and distributing rewards and in-game items for partnered games.
Currently in Public Beta status, the NVIDIA App is available for general testing. Some features from NVIDIA Control Panel and GeForce Experience have not yet been fully integrated (NVIDIA mentioned that certain less used features may not be included to prevent bloat). Once development is complete, it will replace both old apps in the future.
