Enhanced Chrome Android Feature: ‘Listen to this page’ Converts Lengthy Articles into Audio Narration

Chrome 125 on Android has recently updated the Listen to this Page feature, which is a Text-to-speech tool for reading long articles to you.

This feature can be utilized on almost every website with lengthy articles by simply clicking on the ‘Listen to this page’ feature at the top right corner, or by adding it as a shortcut through the star icon next to the Tab options in Settings > Advanced > Toolbar shortcut. After the webpage is done loading, a Mini Player bar will appear at the bottom of the screen. This bar includes playback, rewind by 10 seconds, and stop buttons.

Furthermore, this feature allows users to choose the language and voice used for reading, as well as adjust the reading speed from 0.5x to 4x. Even if you switch tabs or turn off the screen (with Chrome still active), you can continue using this feature. However, closing the browser and navigating away from the Home screen will deactivate the feature. Nevertheless, when you reopen the browser, it appears that the feature will resume where it left off.
