Enhanced Communication: Google Chat Now Supports Voice Messages, Exclusively for Workspace Users

Google Chat has added a feature that many may think has been available for a long time – the ability to record and send voice messages. Using it is similar to other chat apps, simply press the microphone button to record a voice message, preview it before sending, or delete it.

However, the voice messaging feature in Google Chat is limited. It only supports paying Google Workspace customers (Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Essentials Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus) and can only send voice messages through the app on iOS or Android, not on the web. But you can still listen to voice messages from any platform.

TLDR: Google Chat now supports voice messages for paying Google Workspace customers on mobile apps, but not on the web.
