Microsoft has announced the addition of DeepSeek’s R1 artificial intelligence model to be accessed through the Azure AI Foundry platform and on GitHub starting today. Currently, the platform offers over 1,800 artificial intelligence models to choose from.

Asha Sharma, Vice President of Microsoft’s AI platform, highlighted the key feature of R1 as its speed. Developers can now utilize this model in their workflows and test it against other existing models. Microsoft has thoroughly evaluated its functionality to mitigate any potential risks.
