Google introduces new features to both Google Maps and Waze. On Google Maps, the new feature highlights the color of the destination to stand out (such as orange to differentiate from grey buildings) and also shows the direction of the entrance or parking lot of that particular place for user convenience when traveling to unfamiliar destinations, especially large buildings with multiple entrances.
This feature is available on Android, iOS, cars with Google Built-in, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and will be released in the coming weeks.
As for Waze, they have a new feature that notifies real-time traffic congestion, such as a herd of cattle passing through and closing the road. Users will receive notifications through the system, which can be shared to inform others (instead of just sharing routes, the latest is sharing traffic jam information in Waze to friends).
Waze also has another new feature of advance notice of speed cameras or checking if someone is violating the carpool lane. Waze will display icons of these camera types clearly.
TLDR: Google adds new highlighting feature to Google Maps and Waze introduces real-time traffic congestion notifications and advance notice of speed cameras.
