Enhanced Features of AirPods Pro: Hands-Free Siri Interaction, Improved Active Noise Cancellation

Apple has announced the addition of new commands and capabilities for the wireless AirPods Pro, enabling better responsiveness and usage in various situations.

One of the new commands is Siri Interactions, which allows users to interact with Siri when they are unable to speak, such as when receiving a phone call. By simply nodding or shaking their head to answer Siri’s questions, AirPods Pro will detect these gestures and respond accordingly.

Another feature is Voice Isolation, which effectively blocks out all background noise except for the sound of wind. This is made possible by the H2 chip processing in the AirPods Pro, supporting connectivity with Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

Lastly, Personalized Spatial Audio provides surround sound capabilities, now even compatible with gaming. This feature is supported by AirPods 3rd Gen, AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max.

These new features in AirPods are currently in beta for developers and will be available for general use by the end of this year. However, Siri Interactions and Voice Isolation are exclusively compatible with AirPods Pro 2nd Gen.
