Google has released the Pixel Feature Drop for March 2024 (coming soon) for several Pixel devices.
The Call Screen feature now includes AI assistance to handle phone calls on our behalf. An added “Hello” button allows the AI to engage the caller again if they remain silent, helping us distinguish between spam and genuine callers.
The Pixel 7 and 8 can now capture 10-bit HDR videos for sharing on Instagram Reels (previously available on Galaxy S24). The Pixel 7 introduces Circle to Search, a feature first seen on the Galaxy S24, with the Pixel 8 implementing it as well.
For Pixel tablets and smartphones, Google Docs now supports handwritten annotations in documents. When connecting Bluetooth devices, previous connections will be visible, even on new devices that have not been paired before.
Using a Pixel tablet to dictate text allows the Gboard keyboard to minimize and avoid obstructing the screen. Screen sharing during video calls enables sharing specific app windows without displaying the entire screen, applicable to Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 5a with 5G, and above.
The Pixel Watch 1 has received various features from the Pixel Watch 2, including mindfulness apps like Fitbit Relax, exercise features like Pace Training and Heart Zone Training, and public transit navigation.
TLDR: Google’s Pixel Feature Drop brings new enhancements for Pixel devices, such as improved call screening, video capabilities, and productivity features across smartphones, tablets, and wearables.
