Enhanced Notepad Features Spellcheck and Autocorrect Available for All Windows 11 Users by Microsoft

After opening testing to the Windows Insider group since March, Microsoft has begun updating Notepad with spellcheck and autocorrect features for all Windows 11 users.

The spellcheck function in Notepad doesn’t work the same as in Word. Upon encountering a misspelled word, a red underline appears beneath the word. Right-clicking requires an additional click on “Spelling” to see suggested spelling options.

Spellcheck and Autocorrect are enabled by default, except for code-related files or logfiles, which can be exempted and additional file types specified that do not require spellchecking, such as .md, .srt, .lrc, .lic, etc.

TLDR: Microsoft has updated Notepad for Windows 11 users with spellcheck and autocorrect features, enhancing the text editing experience.
