Microsoft is diligently adding features to Notepad (again) this time; a feature that should have been there a long time ago is Spellcheck to check misspelled words and Autocorrect to immediately correct them.
In terms of usability, there is nothing different from Microsoft Word because there are red underlines under misspelled words. Right-click to see the words that need to be corrected. This feature will be enabled by default, but there are exceptions for certain file types, such as log files or program code, which can be enabled if needed.
The spell check feature is starting to be available in Notepad version 11.2402.18.0 now being gradually released to the Windows Insider group only.
TLDR: Microsoft adds Spellcheck and Autocorrect features to Notepad, essential tools that should have been included long ago, enhancing usability in a familiar manner akin to Microsoft Word. These features are gradually being rolled out to Windows Insider group members.
