AIS has partnered with the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) to introduce a new service, 1185# Safe Call, to help customers who have recently switched numbers. If a customer has recently changed their number and suspects it may be linked to criminal activity, they can report it to the CIB by dialing 1185# and making a call within 5 minutes at no cost.
Mr. Prathanan Leelapang, Head of General Customer Group at AIS, mentioned that this campaign operates on a network that can report the most recent incoming call numbers automatically before dialing *1185#. Customers do not need to waste time memorizing numbers that they received calls from. Within 48 hours, if abnormal calling patterns are detected that suggest the reported number may be involved in criminal activities, AIS will pass on the information to the CIB and work closely with them to investigate and block the reported numbers to prevent further harm.
This service can report all types of numbers, including local numbers, mobile numbers from all networks, international numbers, and VoIP numbers, with no restrictions on the number of reports.
Additionally, AIS emphasizes the importance of customer safety by providing the 5G Secure User Controlled Identity (SUCI) SIM, both in SIM card and eSIM formats. The new AIS SIM cards have enhanced security measures with IMSI encryption, ensuring customers can use the AIS network with increased confidence.
