Enhanced Touch Precision with Pixel 9’s Adaptive Touch Feature for Accurate Screen Tapping Even with Wet Fingers

Renowned Android blogger, Mishaal Rahman, has revealed a hidden gem in the upcoming Pixel 9 smartphone that Google has kept under wraps. The feature, known as Adaptive Touch, allows for more accurate touchscreen navigation even when fingers are wet.

Previously seen in the Pixel 8, the Screen Protector Mode detects screen film application to enhance touch sensitivity levels. The Pixel 9’s Adaptive Touch feature expands on this concept by offering new options for various activities, including navigating the screen with wet hands or fingers (both options located in Settings > Display > Touch sensitivity).

It remains unclear whether Google will update previous Pixel models with Adaptive Touch or reserve it for the upcoming Pixel 9.
