Enhanced User Alert System Strengthened by Waze, Ensuring Heightened Caution When Travelling Through Accident Prone Routes

Waze, the navigation app owned by Google, has announced a new feature that caught everyone’s attention: Crash history alerts. This feature notifies users when they enter a route that has had previous reports of accidents, aiming to increase awareness and caution. According to Waze, users report accidents on different roads worldwide every 2 seconds.

However, in order to prevent drivers from being disturbed by excessive alerts about a road with a high accident rate, Waze will only send notifications when users are on new routes or less frequently traveled ones.

The Crash history alerts feature is available in the latest versions of the Waze app for both iOS and Android.

TLDR: Waze introduces Crash history alerts, notifying users of previous accidents on their route to increase caution. Alerts are only sent for new or less traveled routes. The feature is available on the latest versions of the iOS and Android app.
