Microsoft has unveiled the capabilities of Copilot in OneDrive, making it easier to extract desired information from files. It supports both OneDrive on the web and File Viewer in Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint for customers who subscribe to Copilot in Microsoft 365.
Examples of its abilities include summarizing content in documents, asking questions that can be answered using data in files (such as summarizing sales figures by region or separating monthly sales figures), searching for specific files using Natural Language (e.g. showing files edited in the past 7 days), creating summaries, tables, or FAQs, and providing recommendations to improve content in files.
Copilot in OneDrive supports various file types including Office files (DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLSX), new Microsoft 365 formats (FLUID, LOOP), PDF, TXT, RTF, ASPX, HTM, HTML, ODT, and ODP.
The rollout of Copilot in OneDrive will begin for users between March and April. It also supports the Thai language.
