Google has announced a new capability for NotebookLM, the note-taking app that works with Gemini 1.5, which can now be used in Thailand. The new feature is called Audio Overview.
In its simplest form, Audio Overview will transform the content in the user’s documents into a podcast-like list with two hosts. These hosts, generated by AI, will then engage in a conversation based on the original content, summarizing and connecting various pieces of information. Users can also download the audio file for convenience.
To use this feature, simply open Notebook and select Generate to create the Audio Overview. It is worth noting that Audio Overview is still an experimental feature with some limitations. For instance, it may take several minutes to generate the audio if the Notebook is very large. It currently only supports English and may occasionally summarize the content inaccurately. However, some users find it more convenient to remember information through listening to a conversational format.
