X or Twitter has introduced a new setting that allows companies to use public user posts to train Grok, the AI system developed by xAI, owned by Elon Musk. This setting will be enabled by default, so if you do not want your data to be used for training, you must manually opt out.
Currently, this setting is available only on the web version. The mobile app settings page will include this option in the future. To opt out of data training, go to Settings > Privacy and safety > Grok and deselect the checkbox.
Additionally, users can also choose to delete their conversation history with the AI chatbot.
TLDR: X users can now control whether their public posts are used to train Grok, the AI search assistant, with the option to opt out if desired.
