Enhancing Developer Capabilities with Apple’s Advanced Commerce API for Streamlining Bulk Subscription Orders.

Apple has announced the addition of a new API for developers called the Advanced Commerce API to support in-app purchases in a more sophisticated manner, particularly for the Subscription group or additional content. This allows developers to provide users with services within the environmental system of the App Store.

Apple states that developers who wish to utilize the Advanced Commerce API must have an in-app purchase system that meets one of the following conditions:

– Offer a wide range of additional content that can be purchased as One-Time (such as Audiobooks, online courses) and enable the API to process bulk purchase orders at once.
– Have multiple sub-Subscriptions, for instance, a platform that aggregates content from creators, each with their separate Subscription system, allowing users to subscribe and pay once using the API.
– Have a main Subscription and offer additional content for separate One-Time purchases, like an online TV streaming app with add-on channels, allowing users to bundle these with the main monthly Subscription.
