Instagram has introduced a new feature for users, allowing them to comment in the form of Notes, which is a chat box status feature. These Notes will temporarily float up and then disappear on their own in three days, unless deleted earlier. Comments can be made on both Reels posts or regular posts.
However, these Notes comments are set to be semi-private from the start. Because Notes status will only be visible when it’s from a friend or in a designated list. It won’t be displayed to everyone.
While the use of Notes comment system can be personal and add value, it can also be used for harassment. Instagram advises concerned users that they can disable comments with Notes.
The Notes comment feature on Reels and Instagram posts is now available for users worldwide.
