Adobe Acrobat has announced the addition of Generative AI features from Adobe Firefly to enhance image editing in PDF documents. This includes the ability to “fill images” (generative fill), delete background images, or remove certain image files from documents, and generate entirely new AI-generated images using the Firefly Image 3 model directly inserted into PDFs.
Earlier this year, Adobe introduced the Acrobat AI Assistant feature to summarize content, answer questions from PDF documents using the LLM language model from partners, priced at $4.99 per month.
Most recently, Adobe expanded the capabilities of Acrobat AI Assistant to read multiple PDF documents and summarize content, including the ability to detect meeting transcript documents for more precise meeting summaries.
