Google has enhanced Gemini’s capabilities in Google Sheets to facilitate data visualization and highlight interesting aspects of the data. The traditional method of achieving this used to be time-consuming, but now it can be easily done by using the Gemini command.
Gemini in Sheets can generate results based on commands or answer user queries on areas of interest in the data, such as key insights, trends, patterns, or variations in different sections of the data. For example, it can identify the top 3 sales channels, forecast cash flow in the upcoming quarter, and more. In the background, Gemini creates Python scripts that run on the data in Sheets.
Google recommends organizing data in Sheets neatly with clear headers and no empty cells to maximize efficiency, supporting up to 1 million cells of data.
This feature will be available for Google Workspace customers on Business, Enterprise, Google One AI Premium plans, and customers who have purchased the Gemini add-on.
TLDR: Google has upgraded Gemini in Google Sheets to streamline data visualization and analysis, offering users a more efficient way to explore and interpret data insights.
