Enhancing User Experience: Windows 11 Insider Improves Context Menu for File Explorer Icons

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26058 for testing on the Canary/Dev Channels with several intriguing UI features.

The context menu of File Explorer has been slightly adjusted by adding text explanations to buttons such as Cut, Copy, Rename, in addition to the single icons it previously had.

A Pointer Indicator feature has been included to indicate the cursor/mouse location clearly, aiding those with visual impairments by allowing them to choose the color of the pointer.

A weather widget has been added to the lock screen for quick access to weather information.

The Widgets Board now allows for the categorization of widgets into “tabs”, displayed as a navigation pane on the far left.

These features are expected to be fully utilized in Windows 11 24H2 set to release later this year.
