PayPal has announced the launch of PayPal Ads, utilizing customer transaction data to deliver more precise and efficient advertising.

Heading the PayPal Ads business unit is Mark Grether, former head of advertising at Uber. With previous experience in advertising at Amazon and as CEO of advertising platform Sizmek, Grether brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.

Grether highlights PayPal’s strength in knowing “who is buying the products where,” allowing the company to leverage this data for advertising purposes.
