Epic Games has announced plans to push forward with the development of the Epic Games Store (EGS) mobile version for both Android and iOS within this year, without specifying the exact timeframe. This move will make Epic Games Store the first store to be available on all platforms.
The Android side of things should not be too complicated, as alternative stores have been available for some time now, outside of the Google Play Store. As for iOS, Epic previously announced that they will utilize the legal channels of the European DMA, but there are still no details for users on how to download, install, and use the store.
Epic has revealed details regarding the developer side, stating that they will incur an 88/12 revenue split ratio, similar to the PC version of Epic Games Store. They will also offer special programs like Epic First Run and Now On Epic, where developers may not have to pay any fees in some cases, just like the PC version.
