ESA Unveils New iicon Seminar to Replace E3 Event, Inaugural Edition Set for 2026

Following the announcement by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) to cancel the E3 gaming expo in 2023 after running consecutively for 20 years, they have recently revealed a new event called the Interactive Innovation Conference (abbreviated as iicon). The inaugural iicon event is set to take place from April 27-30, 2026 in Las Vegas.

Unlike its predecessor, E3, the iicon event aims to encompass a broader spectrum of interactive entertainment, including film, television, music, sports, health, education, and finance. Described as an event for “interactive entertainment,” iicon will bring together various industries under one roof.

The first edition of iicon in 2026 is an invite-only event, with confirmed participants including industry giants such as Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, Amazon Games, Disney, EA, Epic Games, Square Enix, Take-Two, Ubisoft, Warner Bros, and more.
