European Brave Browser Downloads Soar Following Apple’s Simplified Default Settings.

The browser Brave revealed a noteworthy increase in installations on iPhones in the European region following Apple’s release of iOS 17.4 update for general users, which includes features facilitating easier browser setup in accordance with the European Union’s Digital Markets Act.

In iOS 17.4, users in the European countries group will have a browser selection screen as their default option when they first start using it, with Brave being one of those choices. Brave’s graph indicates over 5,000 additional downloads specifically from the App Store in the European region.

Brave posted on X that the significant increase in the graph reflects why in the past, mobile operating systems have made efforts to block other browser alternatives, calling on Google to act in the same standard.
