LINE NEXT, a subsidiary company of LINE Corporation, has announced that it has received a substantial investment of $140 million from Crescendo Equity Partners, an investment firm founded by Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal and Palantir. This investment marks the largest amount of funding in the Web3 blockchain industry in the Asia Pacific region.
According to LINE, this investment will be used to launch the DOSI NFT platform in January 2024, following beta testing in multiple countries, as well as to integrate with LINE NFT in Japan. Additionally, the funds will be utilized to expand and enhance new services on the Web3 platform.
In line with its plans, LINE NEXT will develop various services on the blockchain-powered Finschia ecosystem and join the Finschia Foundation as a member.
