Google Meet has introduced a new feature, opening a small window (Picture-in-Picture) automatically displaying the meeting video when switching to work on other tabs in Chrome on a computer, ensuring users do not miss important information during the meeting.
Users can move and resize this window as needed, with full meeting control buttons like in the regular window. There is also an option to close the small window or return to the main Meet tab.
This feature will gradually roll out to everyone within the next month. Each user can choose to disable this feature in their Chrome settings if they do not wish to use it.
