Exploring Beijing: Jensen Huang’s Quest Amid US Chip Export Restrictions

There have been reports from the Financial Times citing sources that Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, traveled to Beijing, China for a meeting with He Lifeng, Vice Premier of China, the founder of DeepSeek, and other key figures. This comes after the United States issued further restrictions on exporting technology products, allowing NVIDIA to export its H20 chips to China only with a license application.

NVIDIA previously stated that the company was impacted by these orders, incurring an additional expense of approximately $5.5 billion as they were unable to deliver the H20 chips. Analysts speculate that NVIDIA may not be granted a license to ship H20 to China again.

Chinese news agency CCTV reported that Huang emphasized China as a crucial market for NVIDIA, expressing hopes of designing AI chips that can be delivered within China.
