Exploring Opportunity: Tim Cook Meets with President of Indonesia to Discuss Manufacturing Plant Potential

Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, continues his journey to Jakarta, Indonesia after visiting Vietnam earlier this week. He met with Joko Widodo, the President of Indonesia, today.

In an interview with reporters after meeting Widodo, Cook mentioned that the President discussed the opportunity to establish a manufacturing plant for Apple products in Indonesia. This is something that Apple will consider moving forward.

Currently, Apple does not have a manufacturing base in Indonesia, but has set up Apple Developer Academies in partnership with 4 institutions in the country.
