Netflix has released statistics on content viewing on its platform for the second half of 2023 in their report titled “What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report,” with a promise to publish twice a year, starting with the first half of 2023 being reported earlier.
In the report for the second half of 2023, Netflix has updated the data by adding Runtime (total content time) to be compared with total viewing hours, presented as Views, and categorized into movies and TV shows, covering over 99% of all content on Netflix.
Netflix highlights interesting findings as follows:
– ONE PIECE Live Action (71.6 million views) has an equal number of views compared to the anime version on Netflix.
– Squid Game: The Challenge (33.1 million views) has helped increase viewership for Squid Game, which has been out for 3 years (14.1 million views).
– Wednesday and Red Notice still have high viewing numbers despite being released for some time.
– Leave the World Behind has garnered 121 million views, similar to Leo and Nowhere, which have been highly successful.
– Content from South Korea, Spain, and Japan accounts for 9%, 7%, and 5% of total views, respectively.
– The documentary BECKHAM has received 44 million views.
