Former Engineer Accused by Apple of Breaching iOS Confidentiality by Leaking Data from Journal and Vision Pro Apps

Apple has filed a lawsuit against Andrew Aude, a former software engineer at Apple, accusing him of releasing details about unreleased Apple products, which are considered confidential. Aude leaked information about the workings of the Journal app in iOS 17 and details about the development of new products like Spatial Computing (aka Vision Pro).

Aude had been working at Apple since 2016 but has now been terminated. One of his key responsibilities was optimizing battery performance in conjunction with iOS, an area that has been contentious recently. Apple alleges that Aude is now privy to more confidential information, such as hardware development projects, new chip designs, and upcoming iPhone models.
