Samsung, as the sponsor of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, has announced that they will live stream the opening ceremony with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, with over 200 units.
This year’s Olympic opening ceremony took place outside the sports arena, with a procession of 10,500 athletes rowing along the Seine River in Paris for a distance of 6 kilometers. This provided Samsung with an opportunity to showcase the capabilities of the S24 Ultra, as each phone was mounted on every boat railing or riverbank to capture the opening ceremony from various angles.
These Galaxy S24 Ultra phones will record videos in HDR and transmit them over Orange’s Private 5G network (also an Olympic sponsor) installed along the riverbanks.
In addition to live streaming the opening ceremony, Samsung will also have Galaxy S24 Ultra devices installed on every rowing boat for the competition in Marseille, to immerse viewers in the close-up action as if they were real athletes on each boat.
TLDR: Samsung sponsors the 2024 Olympic Games and will livestream the opening ceremony using over 200 Galaxy S24 Ultra phones, showcasing their capabilities and providing unique perspectives of the event.
