Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition Unveils First Images, Thinner Design unveiled

Android Headliners has uncovered leaked images of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, showcasing a device even slimmer than the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 6. Rumors surrounding the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, previously referred to as the “Slim” or “Ultra” version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, have been circulating for a while now. However, this is the first time that leaked images have surfaced, revealing a device thinner than its predecessor, except for a slightly thicker camera module that protrudes from the device.

According to information from Android Headliners, the device measures 4.9mm in thickness when unfolded (compared to the Z Fold 6’s 5.6mm) and 10.6mm when folded (compared to Z Fold 6’s 12.1mm). It is speculated that this special edition model will only be available in select countries, namely China and South Korea.

The battle of foldable smartphones continues to revolve around thinness, with several foldable models boasting slimmer profiles than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Examples include the Honor Magic V2 (4.7mm unfolded/9.9mm folded), Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 (4.6mm unfolded/9.47mm folded), and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold (5.1mm unfolded/10.5mm folded).
