Geekbench AI Version 1.0: Software Measuring Artificial Intelligence Performance, Supporting Both PC and Mobile Platforms

Primate Labs, the renowned creator of the benchmarking app Geekbench, has unveiled the artificial intelligence benchmarking app Geekbench AI Version 1.0.

Previously, Primate Labs had been testing this app for some time under the name Geekbench ML, but recently rebranded it as Geekbench AI, citing marketing reasons. Users can now understand clearly what its purpose is.

Geekbench AI evaluates the performance of computer AI across the entire system, including the CPU, GPU, and NPU, by scoring in three parts: full precision, half precision, and quantized, based on different workload formats. The software has been developed to support popular AI frameworks like OpenVINO, TensorFlow Lite, Samsung ENN, ArmNN, and Qualcomm QNN on a wide range of hardware.

The development team acknowledges that measuring AI performance is challenging, as it differs from traditional performance metrics by requiring accuracy in the results. Otherwise, achieving high speed in AI operations may result in inaccurate predictions. The test results can be viewed on the Geekbench Browser.

Geekbench AI is available in versions for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS (download page), with a free version for personal use and a Pro version priced at $99.
