Gemini Chat Feature Now Available on Google Messages for Android Devices with 6GB RAM Requirement and Above

Google has started rolling out the Gemini feature on Google Messages for non-Pixel or Samsung Galaxy Android smartphones with a minimum of 6GB RAM. This Gemini feature allows users to enhance text messages and chat with Gemini as if it were a chatbot (similar to chatting through the Gemini app or website, but done through the Messages app instead).

Currently, Gemini on Google Messages only supports English and French languages in Canada. Users must enable RCS and it does not support Google Workspace accounts, including personal accounts managed through Family Link.
