Google has begun integrating Veo 2 artificial intelligence into video creation, which was introduced in late 2024, for paying customers of Gemini Advanced in the Google One AI Premium package. This feature was made available after being leased through Google Cloud Vertex AI for some time.
Using Veo 2 through Gemini limits the resolution to 720p, with a maximum length of 8 seconds, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and output only in MP4 format. Additionally, it restricts the number of clips that can be created per month. An example video can be viewed at the end of the news clip.
Furthermore, Google has also introduced Whisk Animate, a tool for creating animated videos by combining multiple images, in Google Labs. Users can create videos using Veo 2 through Whisk Animate, with similar video creation conditions, exclusive to Google One AI Premium customers.
For more information on how to use this feature, visit http://labs.google/whisk. The restrictions and conditions for video creation are the same, and it is limited to Google One AI Premium customers only.
TLDR: Google is integrating Veo 2 AI into video creation for Gemini Advanced users, offering high-quality video creation tools and animations through Whisk Animate for Google One AI Premium customers.
