These earbuds have been redesigned to improve sound quality and are the first in the Buds series designed to work with Gemini.
Google states that the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are 27% smaller and 24% lighter than the previous model. The design has been studied in 45 million ear shapes to create earbuds that can be worn comfortably all day or snugly during workouts, with twistable ear tips for customization.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 feature the Tensor A1 chip with improved ANC noise-canceling technology, providing 2 times better noise cancellation. They offer up to 8 hours of continuous use, with the charging case extending usage to 30 hours, making them suitable for all-day wear. They also support the Find My Device Network for locating the earbuds.
A standout feature of the Pixel Buds Pro 2 is their integration with the AI Gemini, allowing for hands-free communication called Gemini Live. Users can unlock their phones while wearing the earbuds and start interacting with Gemini to execute commands or check information, even if the phone screen is locked.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are priced at $229 and will be available for purchase starting from September 26th onwards.
