According to a recent report by Similarweb, the number of users on the ChatGPT website continued to decline steadily in the month of August. This downward trend has persisted for three consecutive months since it first started to decrease in June.
The combined figures for both desktop and mobile web usage of ChatGPT decreased by 3.2% to 1.43 billion visits in August. Additionally, the average duration of each user’s session decreased from 8.7 minutes to 7 minutes.
However, the most interesting figures are specifically related to the usage in the United States. In August, there was a slight increase of 0.4%, and it is expected that the numbers will further rise in September as schools begin their academic terms.
