CNBC has reported, citing relevant sources, that Google has laid off at least 100 employees in its cloud services division. Predominantly from sales, consulting, go-to-market strategy, operations, and engineering departments.
A Google representative clarified that the company has also downsized additional staff across various departments to align with organizational structures for product launches and to meet customer demands, ultimately driving long-term success.
Just last month, Google also cut around 200 positions in its Core division responsible for Python, technical infrastructure, basic security systems, and application platforms.
