Google Launches Gemini Pro, Providing Developers with Free API Access During Testing Phase – Thai Language and Image Support Included

Google has recently introduced the Gemini Pro artificial intelligence model, which developers can utilize in the Bard platform starting from last week. This model is available for free during the testing phase, with a limitation of up to 60 queries per minute.

The Gemini Pro model includes both the standard version, which supports text and has a maximum context size of 32K, and the Gemini Pro Vision, which allows for the inclusion of images. The unique feature of Gemini Pro is its support for languages other than English, with a total of 38 languages included.

The released SDK enables developers to generate content by extending user input or engage in conversational chat. However, it’s important to note that there currently isn’t an Agent API included, similar to OpenAI’s Assistant API.

For paid usage, charges will be applicable once the service enters the General Availability (GA) status next year. The costs will be $0.25 per million characters for Generate Content usage, $2.5 per 1,000 images for input, and $0.5 per million characters for output.

Users can access Gemini Pro through Google AI Studio or Vertex AI in the Google Cloud platform.

TLDR: Google has launched the Gemini Pro AI model, which offers free usage during testing. It supports various languages and provides developers with the ability to generate content or engage in chat conversations. Paid usage will be available next year at different pricing levels. Access is possible through Google AI Studio or Vertex AI.
