Google Partners with Samsung to Integrate Nearby Share into Quick Share: Uniting Cutting-Edge Tech Compatibility

Google has announced a partnership with Samsung to rebrand the feature “Nearby Share” as “Quick Share,” as discovered by users in the previous app. This collaboration combines the file-sharing services of both companies into one, offering a streamlined file-sharing experience on Android devices.

Quick Share is compatible with Android 6.0 and above, as well as Chromebooks running version 91 and above. However, it currently does not support ARM-based Windows 10 devices. Google has revealed that they are in talks with select PC manufacturers, particularly LG, to preload Quick Share as a default feature.

Android users can expect to see the rebranded Quick Share with a new logo next month.
