According to Nikkei Asia, Google Pixel achieved sales of up to 10 million units in 2023, marking the first time that Google has sold Pixel in such large quantities. This success has prompted Google to set a sales target of 10 million units consecutively in 2024.
The specific sales figures for each individual Pixel model are not clear, as last year saw the release of various products including Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7a, Pixel 8, and Pixel 8 Pro towards the end of the year. Nikkei also reports that Google is preparing to start production of Pixel 8 in India, as announced in October 2023, in order to diversify risk from suppliers in China and Vietnam. The Pixel 8 Pro will begin production in the second quarter, while the regular Pixel 8 will start production in the middle of the year.
