Information from Take-Two Interactive’s latest quarterly results reveals that Grand Theft Auto V, or GTA V, has now sold a staggering 200 million copies. This includes an additional 5 million copies sold in the previous quarter. When looking at annual sales, the game has sold a total of 20 million copies (as of March 31, 2023, with sales at 180 million copies).
This milestone of 200 million copies sold solidifies GTA V as the second best-selling game of all time, trailing only behind Minecraft, which has sold approximately 300 million copies across all platforms. GTA V was initially released in 2013 on PS3 and Xbox 360, and has since been ported to PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a remaster for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X in the works.
