Microsoft has introduced the Super Resolution feature to expand images in the Microsoft Photos app for Windows 11 24H2. This feature is based on Automatic Super Resolution (AutoSR) in Windows 11, which utilizes NPU to enhance image clarity. It is only compatible with Copilot+ PCs. Previously, AutoSR was used for gaming on Copilot+ PCs but has now been extended to the Photos app.
Earlier this year, Microsoft added a feature to edit photos by removing objects in Photos, which is available on all devices and not limited to Copilot+ PCs.
