The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) in conjunction with the Provincial Electricity Authority raided 9 homes in the district of Mueang Surat Thani, Surat Thani province. The homes were under suspicion as they were unoccupied but had a significant number of CCTV cameras, triggering an alert to the authorities.

One of the houses, rented by a 30-year-old man named Nattapong, raised financial red flags with a circulation of over 40 million baht, leading to suspicions of illegal activity. Coordination with the Provincial Electricity Authority revealed discrepancies in electricity usage in the suspicious area, indicating electricity theft.
