Initiating Deployment Block of External Apps as Default in Samsung Devices Commences with One UI 6.1.1 Release.

Android Authority reports that Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 ROM, used on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, has implemented the Auto Blocker feature to prevent sideloading app installations as a default setting.

The Auto Blocker feature was introduced in One UI 6.0 last year but was initially disabled and had to be manually enabled. This time around, it seems Samsung is stepping up its security measures by enabling it as a default setting.

Currently, the One UI 6.1.1 ROM is only available for the Z Fold/Flip 6 models, so we may have to wait a while longer before seeing it in wide usage.

TLDR: Samsung’s latest ROM version includes the Auto Blocker feature by default to enhance security on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, setting a stricter standard for app installations.
