T-Mobile, a leading telecommunications network provider in America, has now opened up the opportunity for customers to test their connection with the Starlink satellite network. The service is currently in beta stage, starting with supported iPhone models (iPhone 14 and above) that must be updated to the latest iOS 18.3 version.
Since 2022, T-Mobile has announced a collaboration with Starlink, gradually rolling out services beginning with SMS delivery via satellite towards the end of last year. Initially, only Samsung phones were supported, with iPhones coming later.
The connection system will not default to satellite usage but will switch to Starlink connectivity when T-Mobile network signals are not available. T-Mobile has confirmed plans to expand services to support all smartphone models capable of connecting to satellites.
