OpenAI has officially announced the release of the Advanced Voice Mode feature for ChatGPT to ChatGPT Plus customers. The service is in its alpha stage and will gradually be made available to all Plus customers by the end of the year. Introduced in May, the Advanced Voice Mode feature enables users to engage in voice-based conversations with ChatGPT. However, there have been criticisms regarding the similarity between the Sky voice option and that of Scarlett Johansson, despite OpenAI’s denial, claiming it to be the voice of a professional voice actor. Scarlett Johansson revealed that OpenAI had approached her to use her voice for ChatGPT, but she declined.
OpenAI stated that they have tested the Advanced Voice Mode in 45 languages and trained it to respond with only four preset voices: Juniper, Breeze, Cove, and Ember (excluding the Sky voice). Additionally, they have implemented controls to prevent the system from mimicking voices of other individuals.

TLDR: OpenAI is introducing Advanced Voice Mode for ChatGPT Plus users, offering more natural conversations with preset voices and emotional response capabilities.
