Epic Games has unveiled Fab Market, a digital marketplace where creators can buy, sell, and share content all in one place. This platform builds upon the Unreal Engine Marketplace, Sketchfab Store, and Quixel Megascans, catering to creators who produce works on Unreal Engine, Unity 3D, Unreal Editor for Fortnite, and other tools. They can now monetize their content through this platform.
The website, Fab.com, hosts digital content such as in-game items, environments, VFX, animations, characters, plugins, and more. Epic Games takes a 12% revenue share, leaving developers with 88% of the earnings.
Looking ahead, Epic Games plans for Fab to support additional content formats and file formats for games like Roblox and Minecraft.
